Paddock trees for shade, shelter and connectivity

Do you have open areas near existing native vegetation?  Would you benefit from planting single trees or small groups of trees across this area?

Some Benefits:

  1. Trees provide shade and shelter to people and animals
  2. Trees spaced across paddocks provide pathways to enable gliders to move between otherwise isolated pockets of vegetation
  3. Trees provide shelter to birds moving across open spaces

Funding is available to provide trees and material for protective surround. You would need to provide the labour to plant the trees and the long term care.

This offer is provided by Tully Wildlife Preservation Society of Qld. in conjunction with the Cassowary Coast Council.
